Terms of Use
Last updated
By using https://roofcal.cc (the “Site”) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the Site.
1. The calculators are estimates, not engineering
RoofCal provides geometry and reference conversions for general information. Results do not constitute engineering, architectural, or construction advice, and they are not a substitute for them. Real-world framing depends on loads, species and grade of lumber, spans, fastening, local codes, and manufacturer instructions — factors our calculators don't know. Always verify critical dimensions and material choices against your local building code, the applicable manufacturer's installation instructions, and a qualified professional before building, cutting, or purchasing.
2. Roof safety
Nothing on this Site should be read as a judgment that any roof is safe to walk on. Whether roof access is safe depends on pitch, surface material, moisture, weather, structure, height, and fall protection — follow applicable OSHA fall-protection requirements and hire professionals where appropriate.
3. No warranty
The Site and its content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
4. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RoofCal and its contributors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Site or reliance on its content — including material waste, construction rework, injuries, or financial loss. Use the Site at your own risk.
5. Permitted use
You may use and quote the Site's factual content (formulas, conversions, code minimums) freely, with attribution and a link where practical. You may not republish the Site's content wholesale, scrape it for bulk datasets, or present it as your own product. Guides are dated; content changes over time — see our editorial standards.
