Privacy Policy

RoofCal is built to need as little of your data as possible. This policy explains what is and isn't collected when you use https://roofcal.cc.

What we don't collect

• No accounts or sign-ups — there is nothing to register.
• No tracking or advertising cookies, and no ad scripts.
• No analytics profiles that identify you personally.
• Your measurements and inputs never leave your browser — all calculations run locally on your device.

What is processed anyway

• Standard server logs. The site is served through Cloudflare, whose network logs standard request metadata (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security, abuse prevention, and caching. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
• Web fonts. Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts; your browser sends standard requests (including your IP) to Google's font servers. If you prefer to avoid this, browser extensions that block third-party requests will not break the site.
• Contact email. If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to send and use it only to respond or fix the issue you report.

Device sensors

The clinometer page uses your device's motion sensor only while that page is open, only with your permission (on browsers that require it), and only to compute the tilt shown on your screen. Sensor data is never stored or transmitted.
